The Annual Report of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Digital Health 2023-24.
Following the shift after the COVID-19 pandemic towards dealing with the NHS backlog, PAGB, the consumer healthcare association, and the APPG on Digital Health convened a roundtable to review how recent advancements across digital platforms and remote services can be harnessed to lock in a longer-term shift towards self care and subsequently reduce pressure on front-line NHS services.
Regulators need to have confidence in the ability of digital health technologies to protect patient safety, however, traditional processes do not allow for this speed of change while ensuring patients’ access to life saving technologies. This critical topic formed the basis of the round table.
Advances in technology have revolutionised what we know about the human body and our ability to improve and save lives. Now digital health is set to accelerate progress further.
